Academic essays by discipline and level
We match the writer to your subject and citation style.

What an academic essay is

Academic essay = what you hand in for a course: intro, body, conclusion, sources cited. It argues or analyses something. Each subject has its own conventions (law vs nursing vs history). We match the writer to the subject and level.

Types we write

By format: argument, cause and effect, evaluation, reflective. By subject: legal, nursing, IB extended, and general humanities/sciences. Citation: APA, MLA, Chicago, Harvard — you say which. More ideas: essay examples, essay topics.

What we need from you

Prompt or question, length, deadline, citation style. Rubric or marking criteria if you have them. We deliver a draft by the deadline; revisions are free if we missed something.

Why academic essays have different rules by subject

Law essays use cases and statutes; nursing uses evidence-based practice and reflection; history uses primary and secondary sources. We match the writer to the discipline so the essay follows the right conventions. The structure (intro, body, conclusion) is the same, but the way you argue and cite varies. You tell us the subject and we assign someone who's written in that field before.

What markers look for in the first paragraph

A clear thesis or main question. Not a long wind-up or a dictionary definition. By the end of the intro they should know what you're arguing or analysing. We put the thesis where the rubric expects it — often the last sentence of the intro. If the assignment says "state your position clearly," we do that. If it says "pose a research question," we pose it. The rest of the essay then supports or answers it. That's what gets the first impression right.

From order to delivery

You fill the order form: type Essay (or specify academic essay), length, deadline, academic level. In the instructions you paste the prompt, question, and citation style. We show the price. You pay. We assign a writer in that subject. They research and write from scratch. Before delivery we run a plagiarism check. You get the file by the deadline. If something doesn't match the brief, request a revision at no extra cost.

Common academic essay types in detail

Argumentative: you take a position and support it with evidence. We include a counterargument paragraph when the prompt asks. Analytical: you break down a text, concept, or data. We focus on analysis, not just summary. Reflective: you look back at an experience and what you learned. We work from your notes. Research-based: you use sources; we find and cite them in your style. For subject-specific work see legal essays and nursing essays.

Citation styles we use

APA, MLA, Chicago, Harvard, OSCOLA (law), and others. You say which on the order form or in the instructions. We do in-text citations and the reference list (or works cited) correctly. If your department has extra rules (e.g. a specific title page), add that and we'll follow it.

Body paragraphs: what markers expect

Each body paragraph should have one main idea, stated in a topic sentence, and evidence or analysis to support it. We don't mix two main points in one paragraph. We use transitions so the reader sees how the argument moves. If the rubric says "use evidence from the reading" we quote or paraphrase and cite. If it says "at least three sources" we use at least three and cite them correctly. The conclusion should restate the thesis and sum up — no new arguments. We follow that structure so the essay meets academic standards.

Revisions and what to check

After you get the draft check it against the prompt and the rubric. Is the thesis clear? Are all required sections there? Is the citation style correct? If something is missing or wrong request a revision. We don't charge when we missed the brief. There's a time window (see our terms) so ask soon after delivery. For subject-specific essays (law, nursing) double-check terminology and structure — we match the discipline but you know your course best.

What to send in detail

The prompt or question, length, deadline, and citation style. The subject (e.g. history, sociology, nursing). Any rubric or marking criteria. A list of sources to use if the teacher required it. If the topic is very niche (e.g. a specific course reading) paste the material or a summary. The more you send the closer the first draft to what the assignment expects.

FAQ about academic essays

Can you write in my subject? We cover humanities, social sciences, sciences, business, law, nursing, education. Very niche topics may need you to send readings or materials. How long? You set the length; we hit it. Original? Yes. Written for your order. See plagiarism-free essays. Can you use my sources? Yes. List them in the instructions.

Can you write a literature review? Yes. Send the topic and the required length and style. We find and cite sources and structure the review. What about lab reports? We can do lab reports and other report formats — specify in the instructions.

Research and sources for academic essays

When the assignment requires sources we find and cite them in your style (APA, MLA, Chicago, Harvard, etc.). We use academic or reliable sources: journals, books, reputable websites. We don't invent studies or fake quotes. If you have a list of required or allowed sources we work from that. We paraphrase and cite; we don't copy-paste. Every in-text citation has a matching entry in the reference list. For literature reviews we search, synthesise, and structure the findings. For evidence-based or research essays we support each claim with a source.

Pricing and turnaround

Academic essays are priced by length, deadline, and level. The order form shows the total. We often return within 2–3 days for a standard essay; shorter deadlines cost more per page. Revisions are free when we missed the brief. See pricing for the full table.

Subject-specific conventions

Each discipline has its own expectations. History uses primary and secondary sources; sociology and psychology often use APA; law uses OSCOLA or Bluebook; nursing uses APA or Harvard. We match the writer to the subject so the conventions are right. When you order say the subject and paste the prompt. For very specialised topics send the materials so we can work from them.

Revisions and after delivery

Download the file and check it against the prompt and rubric. If something is wrong or missing request a revision — we don't charge when we missed the brief. There's a time window (see our terms) so ask soon after you get the file. Add any source or detail only you have. Once you're happy you can submit (if your school allows it), use it as a model, or rewrite. Your essay is yours only; we don't resell or reuse it. See essay help and order essay online for the full process.

What instructors usually grade for

A clear thesis, one main idea per paragraph, evidence or sources where required, and a conclusion that ties back. We structure the essay so those elements are there. We don't pad with filler; we hit the length with content that matches the assignment. If you have the rubric or marking criteria paste it in the instructions and we'll align the draft to it. For research-heavy assignments we find and cite sources; for analysis we work from the material you send. Same process for undergrad and grad — we match the level you choose.

Types of academic essays we write

Argument and persuasive: clear stance, reasons, evidence. Analytical: we work from the text or material you send and analyse it. Compare and contrast: two texts, theories, or ideas with a clear basis. Cause and effect: causes or effects with evidence; we avoid claiming causation where only correlation is shown. Reflective and narrative: when the assignment asks for personal reflection we work from your notes. Research papers and literature reviews: we find and cite sources and structure the review. We also do legal essays, nurse essays, and other discipline-specific work. Say the type and the prompt when you order.
